As President, Dan is the chief director of MME’s Account Services, Operations, Creative Solutions and Casting divisions.
Professional Highlights
An industry veteran with more than 15 years of integrated marketing experience, Dan honed the early years of his marketing and event production career in positions at Phillips-West, Nabisco and The Championship Group. In 1994, he joined The Coca-Cola Company, serving as both Activation Marketing Manager and Presence Marketing Manager for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. At Coca-Cola, Dan managed internal sports event activation and implementation as well as leading brand sponsorship opportunities (including Super Bowl, MLB All-Star Game and World Cup Activations).
In 1998, Dan partnered with another Coca-Cola colleague to startup Heffernan Interactive, an experiential marketing firm that generated over $12 million in revenue in its first two years. In 2000, Dan became Senior Vice President of Show Services/Production and Field Services at CMI/Clear Channel. At CMI, he implemented over $30 million in experiential marketing programs for clients such as Procter & Gamble, the NBA, NFL and Kodak.
In October 2003, Dan ventured on his own to develop Wylie Events Group, where he served as consultant for both the Revlon Walk/Run in New York City, benefiting breast cancer research, and The Rock Slope artist-fan music experience at the Steamboat Springs Resort in Colorado. As the event director for The Titan Games/Olympic Torch City Celebration in Atlanta, Dan was responsible for an 7 sport Olympic-sanctioned event and Torch Relay in Centennial Olympic Park. He was also acting festival director for New Orleans’ Voodoo Music Experience, a three-day, 100,000-fan event in 2003 and 2004.
In addition to his diverse history of success in the experiential marketing arena, Dan has introduced to MME an exciting property called True Experience Marketing. True Experience features a highly effective integrated marketing plan that helps companies capitalize on the deep emotional connection consumers have to music. By producing unique and intimate artist and fan music experiences in desirable locations, True Experience produces memorable marketing and music events with Q&A sessions, potluck sessions and impromptu acoustic sessions. Recent True Experience events include artist-fan experiences in New Orleans and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
